We can mistakenly think that information leads to transformation. But a change in our intellectual understanding doesn’t itself alter who we are. What determines who we are is not just what we believe is real and true, but even more what we experience as real and true.
This is what makes a Discipleship Training School so powerfully transformative. Because you aren’t just getting more information (although you will receive hours of good teaching). You will be living and experiencing the truth in real time.
The Discipleship Training School allows you to position yourself to learn truth and experience Truth.
LECTURE PHASE
This portion of DTS is 11 weeks and will be spent in Sun Valley. Each week will cover a different foundational topic, taught by a variety of speakers from all over the world. You will also participate in worship & prayer times, small groups, service projects and adventure times throughout the week.
OUTREACH PHASE
After Lecture phase you will be sent on an international outreach for 9 weeks. You will go with a team to serve others through mercy ministry, evangelism and partnering with the local body of Christ. This is a powerful time of living out all that you learned in Lecture phase and to participate in Jesus' call to "make disciples of all nations."

Lecture Phase: $4500
-Covers housing, food, tuition and program costs
Outreach Phase: $3000*
-Covers housing, food and land costs
Outreach Airfare: approx. $1500*
-Covers travel to/from outreach location (from Sun Valley)
OUTREACH LOCATIONS
Outreach locations for each team will be decided in the first month of Lecture phase. YWAM does outreach all over the world in places like Cambodia, Nepal, Papau New Guinea, Jordan, Kenya, Morocco & more.
*Costs not covered by fees include travel to YWAM Sun Valley, travel home from Sun Valley, health/travel insurance and personal expenses (toiletries, eating out, extra activities)
